So what does Katie have to do with Overman? Well, the guys in Overman like to write these rad little comic strips, but up until recently they had no artist. So, they asked their computer to find a young, hip cartoonist with a residence somewhere in Northern Illinois. Lucky for Katie, their computer didn't try very hard and never did quite fill the "hip" criteria. At any rate, Matt called Katie and arranged a meeting at the Overhouse. Even after Katie got herself so lost she was serial dialing Matt while careening through a six way intersection in the opposite direction of the Overhouse, the guys in Overman decided that while she's not smart enough to read a map, maybe she's smart enough to draw their faces a few times each month. Katie is just glad she got free Chile's out of the deal.
And so there you have it. Katie is now Overman's Overwoman…wait…that sounds way too matronly…maybe she's their Overgirl…nah, wait, it's not like she's twelve…she's their Overchick? Gawd, that makes her sound like a trashy groupy….Overgal? Overmaiden? Overlady?…Katie is Overman's Over-visual-producing-organism-of-the-female-persuasion-midtwentyish-artist-employee-type-thing.
Additionally, I'm sure you'll be intrigued to learn Katie is a graduate of Northern Illinois University's illustration program. She is currently seeking freelance work, lives in Saint Charles, loves reading comic books, and is a Capricorn. Generally her stuff is a quirky mix of traditional and digital media.
